ISU lost to Central Washington 33-22

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=292690304

UH???

ISU had 6 TO's, 10 1st downs, 215 total yds, -33 yds rushing while the DII had 191 yds rushing.
ISU was 0-11 on 3rd downs, the DII had 5 turnovers

ISU even gave up a safety to start the game.

ISU was down 26-0 before getting its first score with 5 min left in the first half. Even with 2 min left in the entire game ISU was down 33-14.

This is really sad and pathetic. I don't care if they played the best DII in history, they are still DII. We thought it was kinda funny that MSU let Dixie almost win, but this game was a straight up beatdown!

Attendance: 4,980

I wonder if anyone will go to ISU's next home game.

To ISU's credit this is the same DII that was tied with Montana @ Wa-Griz 35-35 with 2 min to go. UM hit a 42 yd FG with 1 second left to win. I thought that was pathetic but UM made it to the national title game...

Also, does this mean Central Washington will be joining the 'Sky soon?

We've had a number of members join from DII lately, Sac, PSU, EWU, UNC.

We do need more directional schools, 3 isn't cutting it, why did 'North'ridge have to leave us...

Here's some directionals that should join up: the Dakotas, Southern Utah Univ, Northern Utah State Univ.

Most of my last post was a joke but does anyone really know if Central Wash is a real prospect for the Big Sky? I've never heard of them til they played UM last yr in football.

Incredible how badly CWU beat ISU. The score doesn't even begin to indicate how lopsided it was. ISU has plenty of troubles right now, and one has to wonder with their financial woes if they will even field a team in 5-10 years. All the money in Idaho is going to Boise right now.

As bad as Idaho St is in the FCS, Utah St isn't much better in the FBS. Each week College Sporting News posts a FCS Recap: The Scores. They list the FCS scores, broken down into categories of opponents (FBS, FCS, Lower Division). This past week FCS Southern Utah lost to FBS Utah St. But, apparently most the rest of the country, including College Sporting News believes Utah St is a FCS school, as they should be. Although they are technically a FBS program, it's in name only. I understand that the Aggies struggled at times against the TBirds. And you know how much they consistently struggle against FBS teams. The only time they seem to not struggle is against some of the bottom feeders of the lowly WAC. Perhaps the Bungles and Aggies should come to grips with reality and drop down a level. I would gladly trade the Bungles for the Aggies in the Big Sky. Following is the post, which can also be viewed at http://www.championshipsubdivisionnews.com/index.php/2009/09/27/fcs-recap-the-scores-8?blog=5

I took a cursory glance at all of the FBS conferences, I was curious as to which schools could possibly be BCS busters this year (Boise State and Houston). Anyway, I came away with a very definite impression that Weber, amongst other FCS schools, could compete in most of the FBS conferences. Weber could definitely compete for the conference crown in the MAC and Sun Belt, but also, compete pretty well in the WAC and CUSA this season. Parity in college football is definitely starting to happen more and more each season.

As for DII schools joining the Sky...why add a DII when you can get a DI? SUU!! Need I say any more?
