Idaho State @ Weber State

Coming off a bad loss in Montana, the Wildcats look to rebound against the lowly Bengals from Pocatello. A win shores up Weber's playoff seed and gives the Cats at least a share of the conference title for the third straight year.

Idaho State has again fallen to the back third of the league and has not looked competitive for several games.

Hopefully the injuries from last week heal before the playoffs.

Even if some of our injured starters are cleared to play, I don't expect to see a lot of participation from them. We will want to play well, but there is certainly no need to risk further injury. I would really like to see some of our promising freshmen get some time in this game. They can play in up to 4 games and still keep their RS year intact. Maybe we can see a bit of what Kylan Weiser can do at QB and I believe we have a very talented RB red shirting as well. Anyway, this is a good game to get all of the seniors and some of the freshmen the time they need to show what they've got. :coffee:

Depth chart has a few updates which reflect the injuries suffered last game.

Constantine still listed as QB1. His injury was reported to be back spasms.
Shaheed is not on the depth chart. He is replaced by Ty MacPherson at WR-Z and by Hudson Schenck at PR and Dewayne Dixon at KR
Malone is also out. Replaced by Hayden Meacham at TE1

I wonder if Downs could play in a few games at the end of the year and still maintain his redshirt.

Not sure he is ready to go. Nor would it likely be worth disrupting the synergy of the current line to add him at this point.

Downs had a redshirt season available going into the season, so he'll still have two seasons left to play. What is concerning is that he missed the entire 2nd half of last season with an injury. Don't know if he's battling the same injury or something else. But if it's the same injury, that's not good at all.

This is Senior Day. It's crazy to me that there are only 11 seniors on the team, and only 6 of those see playing time (4 starters). And 1 of those is Lloyd the punter. The other 5 are Rodruguez, Williams, and Tupuola on the DL, Tesch at LB, and Stilson on the OL. Probably the winningest class is school history, and congrats to all of them on great careers. If I remember correctly, Tesch was Hill's first commit. But man, the future bright!

Original injury was a broken leg against NAU. I believe earlier this year it was reported that he was recovering from a knee injury.

I have a feeling that even if Constantine plays, we see Jenks in some capacity to ensure he gets reps prior to the playoffs. Never know when/if he will be needed.

Game Day! Senior day and the third straight year that Weber plays for the Big Sky Championship in the final game against Idaho State.

I think Weber roars back from last weeks debacle. This won't be close.
Weber 45 - Pocatello 17

Nice and easy. Just what we needed heading into the playoffs.

Hoping for the 3 seed after the Montana collapse.

Three-peat and AQ. Almost had the dream scenario where no title would have been shared, but Sac State rallied. Should be an interesting playoff selection. Could the Big Sky get 4 top 8 seeds? If not, I think Montana has to be the one not in the top 8.

Proud of this team! I am hoping for a 3 seed, too.

Go Wildcats!
