Idaho to BSC in everything but football 2014

I like Idaho coming for hoops. Verlin is a friend of rahe and this would be a fun rivalry to renew. Though Idaho is I think 1-21 all time in Ogden. :) I like Idaho st having an instate rival, we now have one too in suu. Ewu gets a school close by for a rival too.

I dont like the big sky beig so huge but I like some of these new matchups. But 22 conf games??? A school could get 20+ wins just in league play haha

With Idaho announcing they are joining the Sky, do we put a fork in the WAC? What schools in their right mind would want to join the those remains?

Good for Big Sky and one could guess that eventually in football, after their failed experiement in independent play the next two years. It balances the Big Sky and the Commish said that they are looking at 2 Divisions in the conference to be established (without having to play 22 games just in conf play). The WAC will survive and can find a non-football playing college somewhere in the West. :-D

If the WAC survives as a non football league, it will be a really weak conf. I'm not sure that they will be able to hold onto an auto bid in basketball. It sounds like a weaker league than the one UVU just left, and they don't have an auto bid. The good thing for UVU is the travel will now be more reasonable and they may be able to develop some good rivalries. I think that Idaho looked at that league and came to the same conclusions I did. The WAC is going to strugle, if it survives at all.

With the addition of Idaho, I believe the Sky will go to divisions, a north and a south

North
EWU
Idaho
UM
MSU
UND
PSU

South
WSU
SUU
ISU
NAU
UNC
CSUS

They will go to two divisions, they've already said that. I would switch PSU and UNC as SAC/PSU and UNC/UND would make better travel partners.

True enough

How many conference games will each team play? I like 20. Play each team from within division home and home, four teams from other division home and home, and the other two once each (one at home and one on the road).
