• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Good luck in Independence for football LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLL
So is New MexiHO St the only football team left on the Titanic?

Big Sky commissioner Doug Fullerton told the Statesman on Wednesday that he would accept the Vandals under that arrangement.

"I would support that. It's not what we asked when we invited them," Fullerton said. "But I understand the concept."

Grow a freaking pair, Fullerton! If they won't bring their football program then I say forget 'em. Why give them special treatment, they're freaking Idaho. If they want in, then make them be all in. Anyways, don't the school presidents have to approve? I hope they feel the same way I do.

There are rules that they have to do to stay at the FBS level and remain independent. I wonder if they will be able to do it. Rules: 60% of their games needs to be vs FBS opponents. Need a minimum of 5 home games (1 neutral location can count, 1 can be vs FCS). They need to play a minimum of 9 games. That is pretty much it. Their 2013 schedule they have @Wyoming, @OleMiss, @Wash. St., and vs Norther Illinois. It will be interesting to see if they can fill out their schedule with FBS opponents.

If IdaHO is holding out for an invitation to the MWC or any conf. on that level, they can forget it. They just don't have enough TV sets. USU and Wyoming are, and will be, struggling to stay at that level. IdaHO is just too small and too remote, as a market, to attract the money required to support it. They, also, don't have the tradition that USU or UW have. USU know that they dodged a bullet. What saved them was their long tradition at that level. If not for squezing into the MWC, they would be doing the same thing UI is doing. :coffee:
