I'm a believer

This team has me convinced they can not only be competitive in the Big Sky, but that they can win the dang thing. When D-Lill went down, they went through an identity crisis and had to find their new way of playing. I think that is why we saw some loses early on. This team first started to come together against byu, but really started to click at NAU. I think the loss to PSU was an aberration and won't happen again.

This team has all the pieces to win this dang thing. Tell me if I am being to giddy after the smackdown of Hannah Montana, but this team plays great defense, does great on the boards, and the offense is becoming a legitimate inside-outside threat (the bigs have come a long way offensively since November).

Weber needs some help now to host the tournament, but I think they have a shot at this. I think the toughest team (matchup wise) will be UNC, but otherwise, I don't see any team the Sky that can hang with these guys when they play with the intensity they played with last night.

Randy Rahe - what more do you need to say!

I think Weber can beat anybody, which is a good thing, cause I believe they will have to do it on the road come tourney time. We might be able to catch UNC, they still have a tough stretch ahead of them but I think the best Weber can finish at is 2nd or 3rd.

Randy Rahe has done a great job here at Weber, when the pa announcer says his name the fans need to cheer just as loud for him (or louder) as they do the players

We are so lucky to have Coach Rahe around. I let him know it every time I talk to him. I hope he turns into our version of the great Stew Morrill (who happened to be at the Dee last night!)

To me, second is the worst potential outcome. At 3rd or 4th you get one more home game. In first place you get to host and have a first round bye. at 2nd you get the first round bye, but have to play your first game on the road, on someone elses floor, after a longer layoff. I think that is why you see so many 3 and 4 seed teams do so well in the second round. This is more evident when there is not much separation between the teams.

The change in the team has a lot to do with the maturation of Richardson. When he comes in to rest either Bamforth or Hughey we don't miss a beat. He was huge in the game against NoCol and very steady last night against Montana contributing a lot on defense.

Kind of fun to see these guys gel. Should be interesting to watch down the stretch.
