I'm all about supporting the Big Sky, but....

I am torn. We have lost three semi-final games that I honestly think we should've won (SHSU if VA had been in the whole game, Towson if VA hadn't have overthrown Coop, and the miracle catch with Youngstown). I would love to see a team we haven't played before, but I wonder if we might have better luck traveling for the semis. But more than that, I'd love to get revenge on Weber. I think the EB3 plays better now and we beat them.

Of course, we gotta beat Davis first, and I think this next game is a whole new game. I don't think we'll necessarily pile drive them the way we did the first time.

Totally agree. Makes me nervous playing a team a 2nd time plus I am sure they are salty about the score from the first go around. Having 5 guys out on D is a huge difference.

Superstition shouldn't be a factor. This team doesn't remember the SHSU or Towson loss and the Youngstown loss is a prime motivator for the Seniors. BTW, there is a new sheriff at Head Coach.

Go Maine. that would be a long haul for the BlackBears, no weather advantage for either team and players get to sleep in their own beds. Home game is definitely the way to go.

Glad to see you on the board Dude.

No doubt in my eye I want Maine to beat Weber on Friday (glad we didn't get the Friday game) so we have the opportunity to play at home in the semi...no doubt!

Same here. I am, in fact, superstitious. :x

There’s no doubt that playing at home gives you a distinct advantage. That said we have this weird string of narrow losses at home in games we should have won had the ball bounced differently. Maybe playing somewhere else in the semi’s would be a good thing...psychologically. Playing in Ogden might also be a good opportunity to exorcise the Weber demons from earlier this year. Either way, I just want us to get a little healthier on defense and beat UC Davis.

I'm the most superstitious person in the World. They say people who are hyper-superstitious have a mild form of Tourette's Syndrome where they correlate their own random behaviors with favorable, non-related outcomes.

For that reason, I have no fear of playing on the road in the semis. However, I fear playing a Saturday semifinal even more. I really want that Friday night semi. The only semi we've won was on a Friday. Read into that what you will.

The only similarities is they had EWU on their jerseys

I'd like our chances against a Maine team that's either traveling completely across the country for the 2nd time in a week, or away from home for a week practicing at a facility that's unfamiliar to them.

Then again, I like our chances against Weber in a rematch as well.

First things first: :dead:

Yeah, I actually read the board every day, lol. But I've had about the busiest year of my life with a new baby and work challenges. Reading the EWU and AGS boards are one of my ways to wind down. :D

On paper, being home is definitely best...but I still would love revenge on Weber. Having the chance to go to the game pushes me towards hoping for as many playoff games as possible. I just need the semifinal to be Friday night!

I sure hope Maine beats Weber. It would allow us to host the semi final game.

The Maine defense looked really solid. Their offense has enough talent to score enough on Weber to win. Weber won't have any weather advantage. I think Maine wins.

Hey dude, I'm with you. I would like the chance to beat Weber and be the true Big Sky Champ but it would be nice to play a different team and at home. I'll go with the home field advantage and NO travel.

Maine has a real shot. Their D was stout and like you said, the offense is diverse enough to put some points on the board. Home field for the semi's... mmmm mmmm good.

Whoops, got ahead of it. Let's take care of Davis this week first. :)

Weber State may get caught by the CAA champion. Btw, Maine will be the only conference champion Weber State has played this year besides EWU w/o Gage.

41-24 MAINE!

Let's get another two home games! Now, I like our chances in Ogden, but would rather play the semis at home.

First things first, take care of business on Saturday.

The title of your response imply's you really care about the Big Sky, or did you mean you couldn't care less meaning the Big Sky is not important to you.
