The Journal's Madison Guernsey has a nice piece today on potential impact freshmen and an early two-deep projection. It looks like this may be one of the deeper ISU teams in recent years, and depth helps not only in the case of injury on offense and defense, but also provides athletes for special teams, where ISU frequently struggles. Lots of impact players on offense. I worry about the kicking situation and the lack of proven pass rushers. But DC Roger Cooper seems genuinely excited about his kids upfront, so hopefully some pass rushers will emerge.
