Smith was a tough player to keep going with all those injuries. I wish him the best in whatever it is he decides to do. :)

Agreed, SD. Were it merely the ankle and shoulder, I might question the guy's toughness. But when back issues get into the equation, one's permanent mobility (in terms of just doing life) comes into play. And brain stuff? That can get into whether or not one HAS a life to live. I applaud this kid for just living with what he has so far. I wish him well and hope he stays connected to the program.

I applaud the man for realizing that life is more important than football. The quote that really caught my eye is when he said that coach always told him to use football, dont let football use him. He's gonna get his degree and football helped him with that by paying for his school. It also didn't state his mid-season surgery he had last year which i guess was a hernia or something of that sorts. Anyways, best of luck to Mr. Smith in the future and hope we can still see him around and supporting hornet football
