• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Instant Replay

This might be big news to some of our BSC members, but not so much here. We've had replay in use at basketball games for a couple of years now, and have had the technology in place for its use at football. It hasn't been used for football games, I think due to other conf. venues not having it and the refs not ready to use it. At any rate, it has been marginally successful at basketball games. I suspect that the use of it will be refined over time and generally improve how games are called. I am sure that its use will be somewhat limited at first.

Along with the new rules, this is a good direction for the BSC to be going. :coffee:

The real news here is that the league has hired a private contractor to provide the replay capabilities, rather than relying on Big Sky TV, the quality of which varied widely from venue to venue. Hopefully, this will result in a much more consistent product throughout the league.

This will only be a bonus for the league. What this says is that the league is serious about their product and wants the best and fairest competition for its members. The Big Sky wants to be seen as being professional and place where OOC teams will get a fair shake if they decide to visit Big Sky venues. It also is nice to have something available to help our somewhat inadequate refs during conference competition. lol
