Interesting Interview with Idaho AD

Here's an interesting interview with Idaho AD Rob Spears. I post this because I find a lot of parallels between the challenges U of I faces in facilities with those here at ISU.

Thank you for posting this. The AD seems like a pretty realistic guy, but I'm surprised when he says they are at their all time high for season tickets sold in football. 2,800? What's ISU's all time season ticket high? Thanks to the red turf, Eastern Washington University has sold 6,400 season tickets this season.

It's ironic, but Idaho has Boise State to thank for some of their windfall the last few years. It's been the BCS Bowl money they have shared with the rest of the conference which has afforded the Vandals the opportunity to improve what they have. Most teams lose money in the lower tier bowls, so those don't help financially in the least. The television revenue, although a few hundred thousand, is mostly due to the likes of BSU and Fresno as well. I'll be interested to see what kind of hit that revenue takes.
