• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

"The school in all areas is hemorrhaging. Enrollment is down, football is way down. It is because of the incompetent leadership from the top down. Stitt was a bad hire, I think we all see that now. Unfortunately, he will still be here next year and so will Engstrom. Enrollment will continue to decline and the Griz football team will be cellar dwellers in the Big Sky. Until there is a complete overhaul of the leadership, this will continue. What we are seeing from this administration from the top down is completely unacceptable. I hope that the rest of you alumni, boosters, supporters, etc., see what is happening to our University. It is both sickening and very sad. I have supported this University in many different ways for almost three decades and I will not continue to do so until changes are made, from the top down. I am sure there are many here who will call me out and say I am not a true fan..... blah....blah...whatever. This is more than just football, this is our University of Montana in decline because of the ineptness of our leadership. The students and alumni of this great University deserve much better."

This is just negative nancy stuff. We went 6-5 last year, too, and look where we are this year. They should give their coach another season to make something happen before dumping on him like they do.

IMO, Montana needs to be recruiting 5 or 6 kids in-state each year and spread their wings to bigger population centers like Seattle and Denver for the rest. Montana State as well. Both teams are big and slow, and get exploited the second they play a team with good speed.

Two things Eastern has going for us is that #1 we can essentially fill our roster with in-state kids and be competitive, and #2 we can bring in the best NW kids to camp every Summer. By the time a Northwest kid hits Montana's radar, we've had a two year relationship with them and an even longer relationship with the kids' coach. Ultimately, a big fan base and beautiful stadium struggle to compete against a school where kids feel comfortable.
