Is it time for a new HC in Ogden?

I think it could be

What exactly has Rahe done that's not already expected given his resources as related to the rest of the conference.

Yes, Women's volleyball
Ski..... Your nuts. I do agree that Rahe has got to make changes in his approach, but a new coach is a little drastic. He's conservative and frankly doesn't seem to want to make changes in his strategy, but he deserves some leeway based on his prior success. He's recruited very well and the shelves are not bare, but I'm frustrated that the expectations he's been given for success is so low. He's in a conference that mediocrity is the norm. Close to being the worse D1 conference.

I think this season we bought into Olds expectations and drank way too much kool aid. We have 3 players playing out of position and have players on scholarship that shouldn't be. Im not a a Stew fan, but the changes he made last season was to position his team to win. Maybe this year Rahe needs to look at his talent and ask if he has the horses to compete.

Utah State has a losing record right now.

Answer my question. What has Rahe done?

We'll watch byu absolutely shred Rahe & Morril's "system" on Friday with the most Unathletic players imaginable.

4 Big Sky Coach of the Year Awards
4 Big Sky Championships
2 Tournament Championships = 2 Trips to the NCAAs,
Teams have played in 7 Post-Seasons. Attended every Big Sky Tournament
5 20 win seasons, 2 25+ win seasons, and 1 30 win season (first ever in Weber State history).
A .650% winning percentage overall and a .80% for conference games.

Recruited and coached the top player to ever come from Weber State and the Big Sky, to play in the NBA, helped build a facility exclusive for basketball athletes and more are on the way, major improvements in Dee Event Center renovations and improvements.

Just a couple of things.

There was an article in the Standard about Larry Farmer on Saturday. Things could be a lot worse. I am happy with where we are. This team will only get better and there is a lot to be excited about in the future. I know we all hate losing to the in state teams, but winning a conference championship and playing in late March is the ultimate goal. OCC is just that...Out of Conference. Yes, this year, I am extremely frustrated, this team is not very good. Average or a bit above average yes, but not as good as advertised. We were all drinking too much purple kool-aid over the summer. Lets just enjoy the ride and enjoy the season. We aren't as good as we thought, but we aren't as bad either. :thumb:

I don't see Rahe going anywhere. When do you guys have that luncheon with him? I'd like to hear his comments on how the season is progressing. I wouldn't goof around with the red shirts. Seems like a waste of eligibility. What happened to all of the hype about Hajek ? Shouldn't he be contributing more after his strong summer? Is Rahe going with the same starting line up next year? I know he's stubborn, but I don't think he's crazy.

Oh...I absolutely hate hate HATE hate hate BYU. But their players are pretty good. They aren't as athletic, but they are very good basketball players and they play really well together. They are experienced, long, and great shooters. Weber has an advantage in the middle and athletically, but that is about it. Rose owns Rahe. He and Tinkle are the only coaches who have consistently bested Rahe.

I have to agree with you and I am really not looking forward to the game this weekend. Wish we could show well but I can't see how. I was looking at their YTD stats ... they have played 15 different players through 9 games. The BYU starters average about 25-28 minutes a game and ours play 30-35 minutes. Even the 15th player on their roster is averaging 5 minutes a game. They are playing much better as a team right now than us. They have 5 players 6'10" or taller and we have 2, one of which averages 2 pts a game and one that never plays. We are giving up 3-4" at almost every other position. They shoot 40% from 3 point line and we shoot 31%. I know Rose will tighten up the rotation when conference starts, but for now they will focus on taking Joel out of the game and keep the game up-tempo to wear us out.
