It was reported earlier, but ISU makes it official...

Idaho State men's basketball coach Bill Evans has announced the signing of Tomas Sanchez, a 6-3 guard from Fresno City Community College. Sanchez will be a junior at Idaho State when he enrolls in school this fall.

This past season Sanchez earned first-team all-state honors in California and was named the Co-MVP of the Central Valley Conference. Fresno City won the 2012 California Junior College state championship while averaging 13.4 points, 7.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds a game.

He had a 7-to-1 assist to turnover ratio and shot 44 percent from the 3-point line. Sanchez is from Seattle, Wash., and he prepped at Shorewood High School.

....i think he is going to be a real key to this coming year.....7 to 1 ratio of assists to turnovers....yes....we can use him...

I am very excited about all of our recruits. I am worried about our post play. Is there any chance we still might add a big to the roster for this upcoming season?

I've been excited about seeing Sanchez since this was first rumored way back when... great stroke, excellent plasser, can play both guard spots... guessing he has a great chance to start immediately.
