Wow the Hornets get the close win at home against ISU and no one starts a thread? Congrats to the Hornets for grinding out another close one. I missed the game but just read the Hornetsports article. Sounds like the Hornets made some clutch FT’s to seal it. Well done. Anyone who watched the game care to elaborate on the 64-63 victory?

When only 529 show up to watch the game live, I am sure even less watched the game online.

I watched it and it was a good game. We did hit the clutch free throws, which is what won the game. ISU had a player run the court and pull up for a miracle 3pt jumper at the buzzer, hence the final score.

Whenever there was a timeout, it appeared that three secret service agents stood at three assigned intervals around each basket in the paint, what was up with that? Were they afraid that somebody was going to rush the court or something?

It is really hard to believe we are a DI program playing in that gym. It is nice for VB, but BBall at the DI level, come on. Maybe only 529 showed up because of the facility, maybe because we have always stunk, maybe because Santa Claus is coming to town was on tv, who knows. but we gotta get that matchbox of a gym full before any hope of a better facility is recognized. At this point, I would be happy to see us add 3,000 seats and amenities for fans to make the gym on par with NAIA facilities.

If we could have beat Riverside and win against Jessup, we actually would have a winning record, when was the last time that has happened?

I was there and was shocked that attendance was so low too. I did enjoy the game but thought we still played sloppy. we were lucky to pull this win off. But I'm so happy to see the program turning around and getting some wins. I like the schedule this year and look forward to attending some upcoming games.
