ISU Special Teams

Weber and Montana are tied 14-14 in the 2nd qtr. And Cal Poly has increased their lead over EWU 21-6 in the 2nd. The Mustangs really impress me.

And Weber just defeated Montana 24-21 in OT in Missoula. Montana just isn't that good this year, mainly because they lost their top two QB's to injuries.

It's hard to figure out the Big Sky this year, that's for sure. Portland State is up 59-0 on North Texas, FBS team from Conference USA. Granted, a really bad FBS team, but still impressive for the Vikes!

Eastern, who ISU gets next week, beats Cal Poly in OT, and PSU puts up 66 on FBS North Texas. There are no great teams in the Big Sky this year, but there are a lot of good ones.

North Texas fired their coach after the game. Ouch.

That's the definition of a bad day..,

That Portland State win was the largest margin of victory ever by an FCS team over an FBS team. PSU put up 700 yards of offense on the less-than-Mean Green. It was PSU's second win over an FBS team this year, the first over a Wazzu team that beat Oregon today. I guess that makes PSU the best team in Oregon this year. It certainly should eliminate the "interim" tag in front of Bruce Barnum's title.
