Is there any excitement left in this game? I hope we get a big crowd for this game. Weather should be nice, every other local team is on the road. Will WSU draw over 9k for this game? You can get 5 tix for $25 through the Standard Examiner.
As far as the actual game goes, WSU will curb stomp the 1 dimensional Bengals.
WSU 49
ISU 17

This game hinges on preshuring ISUs QB. If we do this on a regular basis, we win big. If we don't we could lose big. It all seems quite simple to me. I am sure that the coaches will tell me otherwise, I wouldn't buy it. I give us a 50/50 chance, and that is only because we have so much more talent than the Bungles. :wall:

I am excited about this game - I am always excited about a game.

Here is how I see it. Weber still controls their own destiny. Weber has 6 remaining games. If Weber wins out, they are Big Sky Champs. EWU has 2 conference losses. They would own the head to head victory over everyone else. Do I think Weber will run the table and win the rest of their games?
Maybe, maybe not. But a fan should always be cheering for their team.

Realistically, I think Weber will win the following games:
ISU, NAU

Weber has a good chance to win the following games:
SUU, PSU, UM

Weber will have to play their best to beat:
MSU

Weber could be 8-3 at the end of the year, Big Sky Champs and hosting a playoff game.

They could be 7-4 and likely going to the playoffs. :thumb:

Or, they could be 5-6 and sucking on sour pickles. :yikes:

I agree with you 1000%, gotta get some pressure on the QB and it has to be consistent. EWU was a game riddled with errors, and NO pressure on the QB. Changing from the 4-3 Base to the 3-4 should have slowed the TE short passes, but still NO pressure on the QB.

I hope we get some pressure this week, coaches gotta find the right combination and just BRING IT!

I really hope that they can connect the dots. I know that we have a young coaching staff and team. I am trying to stick with them while they grow together. It is just frustrating to watch the learning curve. It would be nice if it were as simple as flipping a light switch. I have and will pull for them no matter what. I just wish they would mature faster. :coffee:

Weber better win, it will make up for my piss poor elk hunt last weekend.

Anyway Oldrunner hit the nail on the head, if we dont get pressure on the QB, they will torch our secondary, that is key. ISU is no slouch, and dont forget, this is a rivalry game, both teams are gonna come out ready to play. BRING ON THE RAILROAD RUMBLE

GO WILDCATS

So being new to the area, are there any festivities going on for homecoming? I haven't seen really ANYHTING in the paper about homecoming week what gives? What is going on before the game anything?

UGH... sometimes they have what they call a "Wildcat Wingoff" where local restaurants come with chicken wings, its free for fans. Haven't heard if they are having it this year or not. Actually come to think of it, I haven't heard anything at all about the game or any homecoming festivities. Maybe the whole thing got canceled. :ohno: All the other local teams are all on the road this weekend so maybe that will draw more fans but I doubt it.

If the weather this weekend is nice, like it should be, we will get at least 8k this saturday.

Well played Sir.    Damn thats funny.

1280 the zone could be giving out tickets as well for free... Not positive, but they did for the Sac st game. I was listening the friday before the game around noon and Jan & Gunther were at some car dealership in Ogden giving away tickets for anyone who showed up (of course they didn't talk much about WSU, and Jan is about the worst radio personality on the planet, but what can you do? It's free tickets.). I don't know if they will do it for this game or not, but I would be disappointed if they didn't. It's the least they can do, since they almost never talk about us... Except the coaches show on wednesday night, and Mac goes on there and talks maybe once a week.

JUST GET THE "W"

If you aren't tailgating, come out to the pre-game carnival. We attended before the Sac game and got all the food we wanted (Chick-fil-la, Honey Baked Ham, hamburgers/hotdogs), and it's all free.
