• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

IWFL Championship Weekend Set; Sirens Going to Super Bowl!!!

Tonight was evenly split between blowouts and close thrillers. There was even one shootout that had just about the most thrilling ending EVER.

In Tier II action, the Bay Area Bandits easily handled the Wisconsin Warriors 35-2. In a much closer game, the Montreal Blitz took out the Carolina Phoenix 19-14. The Bandits will "host" the Blitz in Round Rock, TX, 24 JUL for the IWFL North American Championship.

In Tier I games, the undefeated Boston Militia took out the DC Divas 28-0. The Sacramento Sirens cruised most of the nightcap until enduring a furious fourth-quarter Dallas Diamond comeback. A late Jennifer Bloom field goal forced the Diamonds to go for two to tie when they scored with less than 30 seconds on the clock. A Dallas **** dive failed to cross the goal line, leaving Dallas down two and forcing an onside kick. After considerable discussion amongst the officials (which included the ejection of the Dallas starting QB for slugging an official), the Sirens were deemed to have recovered the kick, after which QB Chantelle Powers took a couple of knees. FB Jennie Ann Quan was the likely MVP with three TDs and some incredible clock-eating runs up the middle, but it was LBer Lineni Noa's late interception and Bloom's FG that saved the day. The Sirens will play host to Boston in Round Rock 24 JUL for the IWFL World Championship (which I've dubbed the IWFL "Super Bowl").
