I just heard the Weber State announcers call Jacob Davison a role player. Things like that make me laugh. Jacob Davison is a SUPERSTAR in the Big Sky. Coach hasn't asked him to do too much yet. I hope the announcers think differently after what he did to them tonight. Just wait!!

Those Weber commentators were mostly clueless.

Davison has been our second leading scorer behind Blizzy lately. He had 16 points last night against S. Utah and has been averaging 13 over the last three games. I love his ability to get to the rim and jump over guys. Needs to grow in terms of making smarter passes/decisions on the perimeter. He can create his own shot at will and that is huge for us. He needs to stay in attack mode tonight.

I suspect that the offense will be built around him next year...and that is probably a good thing.

That kid can ball.

Going to be fun to see the rivalries between these two teams with loads of young talent over the next several seasons. Falls, Pridgett, Nicholas, etc and Peatling, Davison, Perry, etc. All Freshman or Sophomores and big contributors.

Davison is going to have a lot of double doubles from the guard position for EWU...

Can probably throw Weber in the mix as well. They've got a lot of young talent coming back. Hell.. PSU has some as well & a new coach. Not sure about SUU yet, but I think they may be headed in the right direction too.

This year made me feel a lot more optimistic about the Big Sky than I usually do. There's a lot of young talent brought in by new/young coaches here & this conference is on the way up. I hope we all can keep these coaches around for long enough to get the Big Sky up to the point of being a very well respected Mid Major conference.

Also wanted to say I loved Legan's energy on the sideline. If he had a day of eligibility left I have no doubt in my mind he would've been wearing a uniform ready to sub in during the championship game (same with DeCuire). Both are fiery coaches that you can tell the players absolutely love. I think that's going to really show in his recruiting too. That style of coach at a mid-major program can get potential recruits fired up about the possibilities & land you some players that bigger programs have offered.

Anyway... Hope you guys get an NIT bid. If not I'll be rooting for (and watching of course) you guys kick some ass in the CBI or CIT. Bliznyuk is a player that 99% of the CBI/CIT teams will not able to handle. He's unique. I hope he gets a legit shot in the NBA. He's right up there with Lillard for my favorite non-Montana Big Sky player.
