So here's the word on Jones for this weeks games from a couple media outlets:

From the Oregonian:

Jones, whose left foot was in a walking cast Sunday, hopes to play Thursday.

"This might be something I just have to suck up and play with," Jones said. "It's pretty painful, but I played the whole game on Thursday with it. If I'm out, it leaves Julius by himself, and we don't want that."

Said Bone: "We need Jamie back in there as soon as we can get him. I would say at this moment it's 50-50 he'll play Thursday.

"Three days ago I felt really good about how we were playing until Jamie went down with his ankle. Any type of injury this time of year can hurt you as far as your progress. But it's also not March. It would be a little more devastating if it was March.

And from GoViks.com in their preview of the coming weeks games:

JR F Jamie Jones suffered a sprained ligament in his ankle on Thursday against Northern Arizona and missed Sunday’s game with Sacramento State. His prospect for playing this week is questionable

I bet he'll at least try to play against Weber if he doesn't go against ISU.

Forget Idaho State and see how it feels against Weber State but don't risk anything. Our lack of depth in the middle is hurting us. Too bad we lost Donatas and that incoming 6'10" freshman.

well if they are quoting a coach with respect to the current situation seems to me it should be the current coach...just makes the writer sound really dumb

I didn't realize just how many block Jones has had this year. 50.

With seven games to go, he could make a run for Scott's single season record (73).
