Jared Allen to Carolina

The Carolina Panthers have acquired veteran pass-rusher Jared Allen from the Chicago Bears, pending a physical.

Allen is flying to Carolina to take a physical, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Bears will pay $11.5 million of Allen's salary, while the Panthers will pay him $823,000, sources told ESPN. The Bears will get a conditional pick for the veteran.
