JasonEWU and DefendtheRed nowhere to be seen

Haha, Jason wasn’t happy with me saying ewu could win it all before the Davis game in November...now it’s crickets...

That would be the kinda crow I'd love to eat!

I hope they can come back and say there is no way in heck we are beating the Bison!

No shortage of that on eGriz. Pretty much all Big Sky haters over there, well any teams that beat them on a regular basis which would be us and the 'cats.

To play devil's advocate, how many of us would root for Montana if they were to go back to the chipper outside of those who are avid Big Sky football fans and want to see the conference succeed?

I remember Montana played in the championship game a few times prior to 2010 and EWU's run of dominance in the Big Sky. I guess I rooted for them, although I wouldn't say I was too boisterous about it.

My guess is that most Montana fans, and even a good share of those who post on Egriz want to see us win this game, even if they won't admit it publicly. Which is fair enough, I suppose.

I 100% would not root for them, even against the Bison (who I'd be hard-pressed to root for), and I couldn't care less who they want to win. Let them have their little smarmy, self congratulatory pity party over on that cesspool of a website. Little brother in Missoula... :coffee:

I went to Msla to a playoff game a few years ago, Kind of as much hoping the Griz would lose as wanting them to win but I bought a ticket and was there. It is rare that they are in the playoff and we are not so it must have been a looong time ago.

I went to all those games in Chattanooga and the Griz fans were pretty hostile to my Eag hat and that was before Eastern regularly beat them. Supported BigSky anyway. Not sure Eastern needs any love from other conference members. NDSU is doing fine without it. You're probably right about the silent majority Ranger. Most will be cheering Eagles on the 5th.

I remember watching those games where they lost to Richmond and Villanova in consecutive years, (I believe they lost both late in the game after building nice leads). Anyways, I "sorta" rooted for them but wasn't bummed that they lost.
My thinking was conflicted; on one hand it would be nice for the conference and I always root for schools out west when going against east coast teams but on the other hand, didn't want griz fans bragging about more championships.

Regardless, they can root for or us against us, I wont lose sleep over it.

I would root for them. Why not? If they lost I'd be fine with that too. Things have changed. I used to hate the Griz because they roasted us every year. Back then it was a huge year if we beat Montana, now we expect that. Assuming our new stadium doesn't suck, they finally won't have anything to throw shade at us about (except the red turf, but I don't care about that).

I wasnt happy? the fk you talking about. None of you actually care more about EWU then I do. Im not just not a blind ass homer who never sees issues. THAT being said, Im VERY happy we made it. But let me guess.... the Eagles will now beat NDST? Ok.
