Jay Hill expectations

Did anybody else get one of those postcards from Jay Hill? He says he EXPECTS us to set a single-game attendance record in our home opener. He also expects we set a season ticket sales record this season. Is this even doable after the last two years? I know Mac's first game was a monster turnout, but can we expect anything similar for Hill? Thoughts?

I haven't yet, I didn't check the mail today though... My initial thought "It is better to shoot for the stars and miss than aim at the gutter and hit it."

There'll be some excitement just due to the coaching change and the fact that Hill has local ties and is a young, energetic, and likable guy. We'll see if this translates to bigger crowds. But I know one thing for sure, winning will sell more tickets than anything else.

Certainly possible what with the excitement this new staff is bringing...just reading some posts tells you that. Hope they offer some promos, that will also help (remember tickets were offered at a good deal the first game with McBride...wasn't it a sellout back then?). GO FOR GREAT GOALS...as 'wsucatfan' aptly puts it: "shoot for the stars...". I think they can hit target. :thumb:

But to achieve a sell out there would have to be MARKETING!! and I think we under achieved in attendance for the basketball championship. Yes it was a good crowd but there is no excuse for not having that place sold out but lack of effort. If that same effort is put into football, i think we only see 10k maybe..

I was shocked to see a billboard about Weber St football on I-15 a couple of days ago. Well at least they are doing something so far.
