WooHoo!!!

This is tremendous news. The community is going to really love this kid. He is going to be something very special in our program.

Man, I love this kid's game.

I think Gelaun saw the writing on the wall. Hopefully he created a bond with Omar and he can talk him into committing before the Wichita trip this weekend.

Olds I need to call you out a little bit. When everyone starting raving about double J, you stated in that original thread that it was not a huge deal. If we didn't get him we would get someone else. It seems like you have warmed up to him a little.

All of that was with a purpose and before I had seen him play, in person. After I saw him play, I wanted to scream it from the top of Mt. Ogden; 'This kid is the real deal!!' I saw Dame play when he first arrived in Ogden. Jeremiah is more advanced than Damian, at the same age. Will he turn out to be as good? He will have to work hard, Damian had to. Jeremiah is faster, quicker, and more athletic than Gelaun. At 6'3'' he is taller than Gelaun and has more lift in his jumpshot. He handles the ball extremely well and has a killer crossover, He nearly broke Gelaun's ankles a couple of times. He can get to the rim with either hand, has a great, pull up, midrange game, and has NBA 3 point range. In the rat ball games I watched, his team never lost. I was sitting there with Duce Zaid and both of us were just shaking our heads. At one point he had hit about ten shots in a row and they were all different. He wasn't just shooting, he made a lot of really nice assists. There was nobody on our team that could guard him. When He finally missed a shot Duce and I looked at each other and said; 'He's Human'.

If Jeremiah doesn't become a four year starter, I'll eat my hat. You might as well pencil him in as newcomer of the year for 2014/2015, maybe MVP. I know that sounds like a lot, and that he will have to work for all of that, but just wait till you see this kid in person.

Sounds like Omar & Henderson are both headed to Wichita so hopefully a little three-way bonding has developed. I'm guessing with the Shockers big-time, recent success that there's a chance these two might see more and immediate playing time at Weber. Also, it's always a nice bonus if the recruits can see and respect each others talents, creating a desire to try and do something special together. Only time will tell for sure but these 2-3 combined with what Weber already has could make for some historic Wildcat bball.

My article on Jefferson - http://www.bigskybball.com/2013/09/jeremiah-jefferson-commits-to-weber.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - Heard from a source that he has the chance to really be special.

A lineup featuring Jefferson-Senglin-Hill-Bolomboy will sure be a nice core for the future!

Welcome to the Wildcat family JJ!

In situations like this there is only one reaction... :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Welcome to Weber JJ!!

YES!! HIGH MAJOR prospect.

Great news. I read he had other offers from Washington State, New Mexico State and was getting lots of serious looks from very high major schools. He seems to have been under the radar to some degree, which is great for us. I predict he starts as a freshman along side Senglin. Coach Rahe and his staff are amazing recruiters. Now if Omar commits then holy poop this is a great class. I would go out and say it would rival any Mt West class and even some Pac 12 classes. Amazing time to be a Weber State fan I just ordered my season tickets. If we can get Omar, this is what I predict as our starting 5 for 2014-2015. season.
1. Senglin
2. Jefferson
3. Hill
4. Sherman
5. Bolomboy

All from Texas. We would have to call them the Weber State Texans. ha ha.
