All of that was with a purpose and before I had seen him play, in person. After I saw him play, I wanted to scream it from the top of Mt. Ogden; 'This kid is the real deal!!' I saw Dame play when he first arrived in Ogden. Jeremiah is more advanced than Damian, at the same age. Will he turn out to be as good? He will have to work hard, Damian had to. Jeremiah is faster, quicker, and more athletic than Gelaun. At 6'3'' he is taller than Gelaun and has more lift in his jumpshot. He handles the ball extremely well and has a killer crossover, He nearly broke Gelaun's ankles a couple of times. He can get to the rim with either hand, has a great, pull up, midrange game, and has NBA 3 point range. In the rat ball games I watched, his team never lost. I was sitting there with Duce Zaid and both of us were just shaking our heads. At one point he had hit about ten shots in a row and they were all different. He wasn't just shooting, he made a lot of really nice assists. There was nobody on our team that could guard him. When He finally missed a shot Duce and I looked at each other and said; 'He's Human'.
If Jeremiah doesn't become a four year starter, I'll eat my hat. You might as well pencil him in as newcomer of the year for 2014/2015, maybe MVP. I know that sounds like a lot, and that he will have to work for all of that, but just wait till you see this kid in person.
