Jody Sears takes over at Weber State

... what a turn of events down there. What a turn of event for Coach Sears to go from being fired as a co-coordinator at one WSU to be named head coach at another. Really, the stars sort of aligned for him. The pay is surely less, but the prestige is probably greater in his new gig.

Wonder if he'll toy with the 4-2 at Weber? Either way, I'll bet Eastern hangs about 100 points on the Wildcats this season.

We know if they are even remotely in the game by the 2nd quarter, they'll drop into a prevent defense...

I feel the pain as well, that playoff loss to SW Texas ( what ever the team was) still hurts to this day. I still see those last few plays. OUCH!!!!!!!!

I think you are referring to the Sam Houston game? Ya talk about snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory...that was it. It is now called to "Coug it"!
I'm now looking more forward to the Weber game.
Go Eagles!!

WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THE SAM HOUSTON GAME. I still remember every agonizing step from the field to the locker room. I still, to this day, refuse to watch the game film.

My freshman year... I was right behind the endzone on the scoreboard side (drummer in the marching band), watching that final drive come toward me. :ohno:

Weber and Montana both replacing coaches in the spring is a bit of good luck for us in dealing with a tough opening schedule.
