ESPN reporting John L. just took the HC job at Arkansas. Got to feel for the boys he recruited and went through spring ball with.

Let's not be naive enough to think that Weber won't reach out to Baldwin and Co. either. I've got to believe that when the Weber head coaching spot first became available back in November, that Baldwin had to at least take a peak at it and I'm sure Weber persued him - they'd be crazy not to! I thinks Weber's a better opportunity than Montana is right now, for obvious reasons.

While I don't see Baldwin making a change - he's a big fish in a little pond - with two head coach openings in the BigSky now, I'll be a little uneasy until all spots are filled and Beau's name is still listed as head coach at EWU. Anyone know what Beau's contract situation is now? I'm sure it's just a buyout to get him to move, but i'm not sure what his status is regardless? C'mon Mr. Chaves and the rest of EWU admin team, do what you can to make sure Beau stays at EWU!!!!!

BB is not going to make a lateral move, after spring ball, when he has a good thing going here. Weber would have to pay him FBS money.

Arevalo and Chaves do need to give him a long extension and raise though. :thumb:

It is my understanding that Beau APPLIED for the Weber job but pulled his name when John L entered the frey.
Lets not forget about Wolffy

I believe Baldwin's contract was renegotiated at the end of last season. Nothing to see here...

It would be shocking to see Wulff get that job... there's just a lot of baggage there. Pflugrad might be more of a possibility.

I think that was more of a "pay me and my assistants better or I'm leaving"-type of job app.

Montana is a cush job, but expectations are high and they pay is only about $50k per year more than Eastern. Weber is even less.

I think Wulff would be a bigger possibility than Pflugrad for the Weber job. The school is primarily LDS - does anyone really think they're going to ignore all the stuff that inevitably got him fired from UM? I don't think so.....more likely he ends up as a coordinator somewhere. Paul W. would be a good choice, proven winner at this level and in the BSC.

Sucks that Weber is in this situation, but I gotta say, I'm not that surprised about it. Plus, John L. was a complete dick when he was at Idaho.
