• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Julian Harrell

Liked what I saw out of Harrell today in limited time. He came in and immediately grabbed 4 boards which we desperately need right now. Didn't look too comfortable with the offense yet but when they gave him the ball and he drove to the hole, he owned his guy. He POWERED right past his defender and took him right to the rim for a layup. He looks big and powerful and he will be a tough matchup for any guard in the Big Sky. I am sure Hayford will get him more involved in the offense soon. He's going to need a few games to figure things out and get in the flow of things but he looks like a great addition so far and hopefully he's the missing piece to the puzzle.

Well, Hayford put Julian Harrell in the starting lineup today in only his second game as an Eagle. To me that says a lot about what kind of player/difference maker that Hayford thinks he is. He went 5 of 7 for 14 points. I've watched him the last two games and when he drives to the rim he is just too strong and powerful for guys to stop. He seems to get to the rim at will and he finishes once he gets inside the paint. He also surprised me today with his 3-point shooting ability. He went 3 for 5 from beyond the arc today and he also has a pretty looking shot. Ball comes off of his hand smooth. Didn't know he could shoot that well. In the film that I had watched of him, he was mostly a slasher so this is a bonus for eag fans. The crazy part is that he was able to shoot that well while still wearing quite a bit of tape on his shooting hand. Love his presence on defense as well. I think he's still working on getting his stamina back. He only played 25 minutes and all our other starters played well into the mid 30's. I believe we are a different team with him. As always, time will tell. Excited for the rest of the season. This is a fun team to watch.
