• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Anyone know about this TR?

Here is the Hornetsports story:

http://www.hornetsports.com/sports/mbball/release.asp?release_id=8836

A local product from Auburn, Calif., Veteto played in 51 games (12 starts) the past two seasons for the Highlanders. During those two seasons, he averaged one rebound every 3.5 minutes of play, combining to post 3.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 12.6 minutes per game while shooting 50.8 percent (66-130) from the field. Of his 183 career rebounds, 71 have come on the offensive glass.
He doesn't sound like a huge scorer but looks to be a presence on the glass. We'll see how he plays in 2011/12.

Why did he leave Riverside which is in a BB conference and plays in a real arena? Not to mention the world class education that a UC brings. cough.

I like this pick up. When you look at his stats for the year they're not impressive, but if you look at the games he got significant minutes then you'll see he was productive - 14 points and 8 boards against USC. He was a starter early in the year but then his minutes really fell off, not sure if it was injury or coaches decision.

Glad to have him as a Hornet!

I was on campus yesterday and I saw Katz ushering around a guy that looked legit. He's not a current player, and looked like he may have been in blue Delta warm-ups? He was about 6'9, 215, thin black guy. Anyone in the know, the guy looked like a player.

GCM: UCR plays in a place about the size and shape of the Hornet's Nest, so Veteto's not losing anything in that regard. He'll still likely get to play UOP and maybe some of the other BWC schools, but he'll also get a bit more of a regional outlook at Sac as the Sky covers a bigger geographical area.

BTW, the UOP board just posted this. They describe Veteto as a "part-time starter," whatever that means.
