"There were a few new faces at practice this week, the big one being Kavario Middleton, a highly-recruited tight end who began his career at the University of Washington.
Middleton caught 26 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns in 2009 for the Huskies, but was dismissed from the team in July. The Seattle Times reported it was because he failed a drug test.
The Lakewood, Wash., product had intended to transfer to Nebraska, but told the Lincoln Journal-Star on Aug. 23 that he was going to have to play elsewhere because of academic and admission hold-ups.
"Things did not work out," Middleton told the Journal-Star. "Things didn't work out with the deadline they were giving us, so I'll be going elsewhere."
The junior was at Washington-Grizzly Stadium Tuesday, wearing No. 85. The 6-foot-5, 250-pounder was a Parade All-American in 2007 and caught 12 passes as a true freshman at UW in 2008. He joins fellow UW transfer Tyrone Duncan, a defensive tackle, at UM."
The bigger they are, the harder they fall! Bring 'em on!
