Weber State’s Kellen McCoy has been selected the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball Player of the Week after leading the Wildcats to a road conference victory over Northern Colorado.
McCoy, a 5-foot-6 senior guard from Norman, Okla., poured in a career-high 25 points with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in Weber State’s 82-76 victory over the Bears on Thursday in Greeley.
McCoy hit 9-of-16 shots from the field, drained four of his eight 3-point attempts, and made 3-of-5 free throws. McCoy’s 25 points were the most by a Big Sky player last week, as were his nine field goals made.
Weber State’s victory was its sixth in a row and also moved the league-leaders to 6-0 in conference road games.
McCoy currently ranks in the top 10 in the league in scoring, assists, free-throw percentage, steals and 3-point field-goal percentage.
This is McCoy’s second Player of the Week honor this season.

The morons from Mazola seem to have never heard of Kellen McCoy. They seem to think that some weenie on the grisly um team should be the Player of the Year. Idiots.

As of right now (2 March 2008 4:15 pm) the BSC still hasn't posted last week's Player of the week. It's gotta be Kellen again. Anything else would be a crime.

The announcement won't be until tomorrow for the final POTW as we still have one more game to wrap up the conference season.
