Does anyone on here have any info on Kiko? Last year he was on a medical redshirt due to his broken leg. I heard that he was injured again this year. Does that mean that he is on a medical redshirt again this year? Or maybe a traditional redshirt.

I am not clear on the redshirt rules, so have two questions that I hope someone can explain to me. (1) Can a player who has a season-ending injury in two consecutive years claim medical redshirt status for the second year? (2) If a player has a medical redshirt year can he then claim a traditional redshirt year in a second year?
 
You get five years to play four. If you are injured and miss out on one of those four, you can file for a hardship exemption that would give you an extra year (six) to play four. But hardship years are not guaranteed and if you take a traditional redshirt year also, may not be granted.
