Killin Dinner

I know this is not 100% football related, but this forum has the most views so I thought I'd post it here.

Killin Dinner is April 28 and I have never been (the weekend is always a difficult one for me), but pretty sure I've convinced the wife to go this year. From those of you that have been, how is it? What can we expect? How many people typically attend?

About 800-900 people attend. It is probably the party of the year. And I usually have dress socks soaked in sweat and beer by the end of the night whenever we have to roll in extra tables for those people who walk up :)

I love working the killin because it brings different athletics groups together (basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, track, tennis, etc) and certain people who only follow one sport each year.

Plus, Dave McKay from Dining Services dresses up in a giant lobster costume each year, so you can't miss that... Fun stuff, good band, DJ afterward and never does a drink go totally dry until last call at midnight.

...at which point the true faithful stumble down the hill to Bills and Eagle's pub. You know I'm right.

Correct. My only hope is that the word gets out about the state patrol who parks on both ends of Michael Anderson Road to nab DUIs. The party bus and cabs aren't worth a $5k fine and a night in jail.
