A little background on Sorensen from a feature in the Spokesman-Review:

"Sorensen, the son of former Washington State University safety Paul Sorensen, is called the “Baby-faced Assassin.” He’s the Saxons’ most feared hitter.

His teammates try to avoid contact with him at practice.

“Cody is the best striker on the team,” Stockton said. “Getting hit by Cody in practice is not one of my favorite things.”

Sorensen played cornerback last year but switched to strong safety this season.

“It’s a more natural position for me,” Sorensen said. “It allows me to run downhill and be more aggressive.”

In Sharkey’s mind, Sorensen plays much like his dad did.

“He’s got a lot of Paul in him in terms of his physical nature,” Sharkey said.

The Twin Falls Times-News has a small article about Canyon Ridge's Tyler Myers...

Tyler Myers played quarterback, safety and punter at Canyon Ridge High School.

Idaho State football coach Mike Kramer sees Myers' future at a different position.

"He is a big strapping outside linebacker with good range of speed," Kramer said in a school release announcing Myers will join ISU's program this fall as a preferred walk-on.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Myers started at QB for the Riverhawks in 2009 and 2010. He earned all-state status as a punter this past season, averaging 42.2 yards per kick with a long of 60 yards.

Former CRHS football coach Bill Hicks once called Myers the best athlete in the Great Basin Conference. That athleticism, coupled with his size and frame, could make Myers a valuable asset for the Bengals.
