Idaho State senior wide receiver Kelvin Krosch has decided to not continue his final season due to a combination of injuries and illness.

“We deeply appreciate what Kelvin has done for our program,” Idaho State football coach Mike Kramer said. “He has had a long and excellent career and his efforts this year are no less superlative in the face of the physical limitations he has faced. He will continue to be a viable and needed member of our football program, just not on the field.”

Krosch, who is from Mackay, Idaho, has been a vital part of the Bengal football program over the last four years. He played four years after redshirting in 2007. In 2008, he appeared in 10 games and he followed that with a 2009 performance where he was one of only two receivers to play in all 11 games as he caught 37 passes for 540 yards. He led the Bengals with six touchdowns, four coming in the final two weeks.

As a sophomore he had a career-high six catches for 157 yards and three touchdowns against Portland State. He also had six receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns against Central Washington in 2009.

Krosch played in the final seven games in 2010 and saw his first significant action at Montana where he caught five passes for 59 yards and one touchdown. He had a season-high 75-yards receiving at Eastern Washington in the season finale.

In high school, Krosch lettered in football, basketball and track and field at Mackay High School where he was named first-team All-Sawtooth Conference as a quarterback and linebacker in 2006.
