Congrats to Kupp! :thumb:

How close is he to breaking every FCS receiving record in the book?

I hope Athletics creates a special website for him like they did for Vernon. Would be cool to see all of his awards, highlights and a record tracker so we can know where he stands on all of these Big Sky / NCAA records.

:thumb: Coopers accomplishments are far more worthy of a website that VA. Classic difference between over sized ego and humility.

All of these awards for Cooper has kept Dave Cook so busy he doesn't have time to release the 2016 football schedule

He needs 3 TD catches to break the career mark. He also needs 85 catches to break the career receptions record.

There's some confusion surrounding the Payton award and what was formerly the Buchanan award. These will not be officially given out until Janaury 9, the day of the FCS Championship.

I'm guessing Kupp will win anyways, but I believe any announcements that were made are premature. These used to be Sports Network awards and that was all bought and now owned by STATS. So there hasn't been an official offensive or defensive POTY named yet.

This is incorrect. Mickey Charles, through his company 'Micky Charles LLC', still owns the rights to the Payton, Buchanan, Rice, and Eddie Robinson Awards. He did not sell them to STATS when the TSN deal happened. The STATS awards are their own separate entities.

Basically, until Stats gets the naming rights for the Payton, Buchanan, and Rice awards, they are separate awards. There will be two sets of awards this year, so theoretically, Kupp or whomever else could walk away with both the "Payton", and the Offensive PoY as presented by Stats.

I believe it will get worked out in the offseason so that there will only be one of each in the future. This year is just kind of unique in that regard.

Clean Sweep of the major offensive awards, Cooper won the STATS Offensive Player of the Year award tonight. Congrats Cooper!
