Hi guys,

Hope everyone has recovered from the Hornets' victory over Oregon State. A couple of special things of note. This week we have:

* An opinion column on how the college conference shakeup could make the Big Sky a I-AA super conference is posted. http://sacstatesports.com/2011/09/06/286/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

* A feature on one of the heroes of Saturday's game in Corvallis. (we've got to keep some things a surprise).

* And, midday Thursday, a Q&A with athletic director Terry Wanless.

Speaking of which, if you would like to suggest questions for me to ask Wanless, please tack it on as a reply.

Hope everyone is liking our "Hornets Wake-Up Call" each morning.

Thanks for all of your readership,
Bill Bradley

Wanless Questions:

What is the status of the new on campus arena?

Are there any facility upgrades planned for Hornet Stadium?

What were you thinking giving Katz a 5 year extension after his second season?!?! (Ok don’t really ask him that.)

Are there any plans to revamp/renew the Hornetsports website along with revamping the “donors” and “corporate sponsors” area of the website?

Keep it up Bill! Your readership will only grow as the season continues. The Hornets set a record for season ticket sales today.

I second SD's questions.

I think it would be interesting to see if he's willing to reveal anything about the conference affiliation discussions that have taken place or are expected to take place...

Yes, I agree on the conference affiliation question, since there is speculation the WAC is still courting some Big Sky schools, including Sac State. Also, how he plans to capitalize off of the national attention Sac State has received from the win at OSU.

That is AWESOME news! Did they give any specifics, such as how many season tix were sold??

Amazing what a HUGE win and some National pub can do ....
