Eags getting some votes, but not in the top 25. Nothing unexpected here, NDSU jumps to #5, and as much as I can't stand their fans I think they are the team to beat.

Anyone voting Eastern as a top 25 team should be banned for life form voting. Seriously. 0-4 is not worth receiving votes.

If you were to look out over our remaining opponents, we might be an underdog in 5 of the 7 remaining games. Only Northern Colorado and Idaho State have looked consistently worse than us. Does anyone want to call Portland State any better than a pick-'em game? NAU on the road? You'd have to be joking to think we would be favored against Weber or Sac State.

I'm not trying to kick the program while we're down, but let's be realistic here. We shouldn't even be sniffing a top 25 vote.

One of our main weaknesses this year has been stoping the run, we need to fix that soon, but most of the teams we play from here on out like to pound the ball. Weber is not one dimensional, but I anticipate they will try to run the ball into the ground because we haven't proven we can stop it yet.

Agreed we most likely won't be favored in a lot of our games, but if we can get the monkey of the back, this coming weekend, you just never know. Problem is we haven't fixed the issues yet and after Webers game, we have 4 of 6 remaining on the road.

Hey, Villanova made the playoffs at 7-4 and found themselves one game away from the Championship , but were ousted courtesy of yours truly. James Madison Dukes were considered at 6-5 last year. We have a shot! We beat Weber and it may just be that game that lifts us. We need an identity that is not compared to last year, bo 4th q hheroics, no JC, no TJ (Jolley or Jones), no 15 starters returning ( now down to 11).

Go Eastern! I'm rooting for you. Win at home against Weber. We can take it from there.

WE ARE THE DEFENDING CHAMPIONS. Only 1 team wins - Bobcats, Bison, Griz, etc. they sure didn't win it all and they are not the Champions this year. EWU's chances may be slim, but they are still the team in my book.
