Lea Wallace co-West Region Track Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS — Sacramento State's Lea Wallace was named the co-West Region Women's Track Athlete of theYear by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association, it was announced on Monday.

The honor is the latest for the senior who has also been named The Bowerman Award watch list and was the Big Sky Female Performer of the Meet at the conference championships. During the 2011 season, Wallace has set school records in both the 800 and 1,500. She won the Big Sky title in both events and will compete at the NCAA Div. I Outdoor Championships in both races.
