League MVP - an Eag?

I don't think any eags are going to win the award this year. However, Jacob Davison is as valuable as anybody in the league to his team right now. Davison dropped 41 points tonight on NAU. All eag fans know that he is one of the best players in the league. Maybe the best player. Just a sophomore too. There's nothing he can't do. Now that his wrist is healed up from his wrist surgery in the fall he's back to his old form dropping 3's on everyone. I've also seen him flush it on a few guys the last couple games. What a talent! Not many guys can posterize you and also shoot like he does. He's averaging 26 points a game over his last five games. If you haven't been out to Cheney to watch this kid play.....stop by when you get a chance.

Very true, exciting to watch. There are a number of players that are worth a drive to Cheney to watch. I'm looking forward to the No Colorado game Feb 16, fun fun!

Davison was named Big Sky Player of the Week. I think coach is starting to give him the freedom to go do what he does. When we unleashed Bogdan we became a better team.

He's easily one of the 5 best players in the league right now and he's only a soph...he'll win the award before his career is done...

Davison won’t make First Team in the Big Sky. You guys smoking some more meth again? First Team: Rorie, Akoh, Harding, Hall, Davis. I gotta hand it to you, guys. You losers do dream big, that’s for sure.

I definitely agree with you. He is definitely one of the top five players in the league. Doesn't mean he will make first team this year though. It took him a while to get going after his two major injuries this year. Ankle and wrist. I could tell he wasn't jumping very well the first half of the season. I saw him walking around in a walking boot quite a bit. Sounds like his wrist injury was pretty serious and he had to have wrist surgery. I was listening to coach say how it really affected his shot. Scary to think about what our back court will look like when Beo is finally healthy. He might not play this year though. The future is bright!

Plenty of season left and I really think this team is still working on consistency. However, I can't stop thinking about the future. With all of the young talent getting experience, the next few years will be great.

I wonder how long Davison will be out for. We will need to win some road games and that task doesn't get any easier without him. It's tough to replace the almost 25 points a game he's been giving us over the last eight games or so.

go eags!
