Let the Egriz meltdown begin!

I take a look over there from time to time, but don't bother posting. Far too many idiots to try to argue with and my pops always told me don't try to argue with an idiot.

Well let me be the first. I'm the smart ass that came up with the salute to the oil filter comment a few weeks ago. I really dislike smack but I was trying to throw out some dry humor.

EWU players and coaches brought it today and so I tip my cap. Well played, and best wishes going forward.

Hey, the oil filter comment was funny. I looked over there during the game and thought....dang...they DO look like oil filters.

My first post on this board...

First of all, congrats on the win. You had the better team and will continue to make some noise. Some tough games coming up, but I hope you represent the Big Sky well. I really like the play makers you have and I think Baldwin is genius.

As for some of the negative posts about egriz and Griz fans in general....let me say this. 90 percent of Griz fans are knowledgeable, passionate fans who love and follow Griz football like a religion. 10 percent are ass clowns who misrepresent the majority of the fan base and do everything in their power to get under the skin of opposing fan bases.

It's really no different than right here. The majority of you fit the positive description above. But there are always about 10 percent of you who fall into the negative category. I wanted to paste a post going around egriz right now that is 90 percent positive and congratulatory. There is one ass hat comment in there representing my opinion above. There are also plenty of comments that are smack talk amd negative from plenty of Eagles fans on the Griz boards, too, so this stuff can really go both ways.

All I'm saying is you've got yours, we've got ours, but the majority of our fan bases are good folks who
Just love their team. We're not that different if you keep that in perspective. Anyways, best of luck and here's that egriz topic. You may be surprised at the majority giving your team props:

It is so true and as illustrated by the link you posted, it took less than 30 posts for some of the ass hats to make themselves heard. I guess the one thing that does bother me about your fan base that is not universal to every other is their overwhelming sense of superiority and willingness to crown themselves as classy as if the bad acts of foolish fans only define other programs and never their own. Thanks for your thoughtful post and as an aside, you "might be surprised" at the majority of our fans that have been congratulatory regarding your season and seniors. As you said, we're not all that different.
