Lets look at the good things

I don't know about Remington, but the firings of Baiz and Osterhout were bonehead moves. O'hout had B(C)$ coaching experience and is doing great things as a coordinator at the JC level; he's also turning out quality O-Line recruits with his Linemen Win Games consulting program.

Baiz also isn't the only Hornet on the Folsom staff. Former Hornet QB (not to mention WRs Coach) Bobby Fresques is ALSO on the staff (also has time with the Cal coaching staff).

Also doubling pay with coaches leaving to BCS and Brown was let go. Riley was from the mid west. So probably why took the job. I know these guys don't make anymore than 40-50k so maintaining staff will be difficult.

Are you denying it, OSH? While I was with the program during the Volek era, Fresques left us to coach at Cal. I know that first hand. Sheesh!

I will predict Paul Peterson, he had 2 interviews last year. It's just a matter of time. He coaches the QB with the most all purpose yards in the conference.
This. Peterson’s system has crushed the passing records at SUU and now he can add developing a redshirt walk-on and crushing the Sac State passing records to his resume’. I doubt he stays here another year. He will be a valuable commodity to any FBS program looking to implement the no-huddle spread attack. Great hire by Sperbeck.

If I recall correctly Riley was brought on after Omaha shut its program down. His move to NDSU was also a move closer to home. Another solid hire by Sperbeck.

Let's not compare HS and JC success to FCS success. Sperbeck was a great JC coach. So can't tie them together

Fact is FCS is a stepping stone to bottom tier FBS, which is a stepping stone to a BCS gig. Having coaches that excel and then moving on for a better opportunity is the norm. Staff retention will always be an issue, especially if this program can find success.

I wouldn't be surprise if he filled an application for the Weber gig. He's from Utah, and I have a feeling he want's be on Mendenhal's staff or replace Mendenhal at BYU one day. Weber could be his stepping stone for either.

My guess is Weber promotes Phlugrad (sp?), former UM HC that was pushed under the bus during all their off the field issues.

No one was denying Bobby was with the Volek staff and then went on to Cal. But what does that have to do with coaches who have worked for Sperbeck? Please try to follow along with the topic. SHEESH?!

The mark of a good program is growing coaches as well as student athletes. I expect Peterson to leave and Fred Kelly be given the QB and OC duties.

Spot on about him leaving for Utah, wouldn't surprise me at all.

Pfluhgrad will be a head coach in the BSC soon. I would bet that Peterson is gone this offseason too. He has done an excellent job in his short time here.
