Lillard's 1st Game: Lakers @ Blazers

that was a really exciting game. I think it was the first NBA I have watched on tv from start to finish since the 90's. it was exciting to see lillard play so well and to not look nevous. it was as if he was just playing a big sky game. he had a double-double (22 points and 11 assists in his NBA debut.), a dunk, alley ooped one to leonard, even called for an alley oop early in the game but didn't get the pass. his first ever basket was a long long three for a college court but we all know he always had deep range in college.

i hope i can see more blazer games on tv this year.

"People probably didn't expect us to come out and beat that type of team, but we've been competing very hard in practice, and we did that same thing tonight," Lillard said. "We were flying around, lots of energy. I think our activity kind of wore on them."

NOTES:
Lillard’s 11 assists were the most in an NBA debut since Jason Kidd had 11 in 1994.
Lillard’s first assist came on a left-handed behind-the-back bounce pass to Aldridge, who drained a 15-footer.

Bryant was, obviously, annoyed by the question. Who wouldn't be. The mighty Lakers just got beat by a bunch of upstart youngsters, and now you have to endure that kind of a question! Kobe did well not to slap the guy. His answers were politically correct. Unsolicited, and in a different context, the same words may have had more meaning. :coffee:

Those teams that picked 2 through 5 are probably having a lot of second thoughts right about now.
