2010 BIG SKY CONFERENCE FINISH
1. Montana (8-0)
2. Eastern Washington (6-2)
3. Northern Arizona (6-2)
4. Montana State (5-3)
5. Weber State (4-4)
6. Northern Colorado (3-5)
7. Sacramento State (2-6)
8. Portland State (2-6)
9. Idaho State (0-8)

How can they claim UNC will be ahead of us? Thoughts?

Each of the last few years we've been picked in the 6-8 range and finished in the 4-6 range...

Anything worse than 6-5 overall and 4-4 in BSC will be a disappointment IMO...

I don't understand the reasoning behind having NC above Sac State, they've never beaten the Hornets and arent even mentioned as having a good recruiting class.

I also dont see Montana as #1, I see them getting beat by two other BSC teams this year, a new coach and a new offensive scheme may prove to be their achilles heel this season.

I honestly dont see how they've lumped Sac State with the likes of PSU and ISU, NC belongs in Sac States spot and the Hornets belong at #4-5 (at least for now).

That's not true. If you go back and look at the scouts.com or rivals.com rankings the past few years UNC is either first or second in recruiting the conference. As far as the publications and their predictions, I wouldn't take too much from them. Pre-season polls mean nothing.

Agreed and welcome UNCBEARS.

No doubt UNC is getting better, however we host the Bears this season so I have to favor the Hornets in this years match-up.

As far as rankings go, I agree, they are pretty much worthless. However, they do provide for good conversation.

SD, you usually do your research before agreeing with someone .

No, I was agreeing about the part that pre-season polls are meaningless.

In SD's defense, Stung, he DID bold and underline the appropriate part. My take of his post was just that: agreeing with the highlighted portion, NOT the rest of it. Many people do that.

Okay okay.

Thanks for the comprehension lesson SH.

Stung, I do have to applaud you for your actual presentation of stats. Bear asserted stats, but did not actually provide them. So for the time being, one would logically have to accept the provided stats over the asserted but not present ones.

Good job.

Thanks for the welcome. I did mention 1st or 2nd in the conference. Those stats prove me correct. Stung Alum mentioned we weren't at all mentioned with the best recruiting classes. Those stats dismiss his/her statement. Oh well, we all make mistakes.
