Lindys has Harding 2nd team all BSC

and they put Strings on the first team...Projects Weber 3rd behind Idaho and MT. ST.
Montana State is a good team, but they will struggle to make the top 4. They may do it, but the second best team in the league seems to be a stretch, IMO. I think that UI, UM, and WSU are the top three. UNC, MSU, UND, and ISU will duke it out for that 4th spot in Reno. UI is one injury away from being in that second tier.

Link?

Montana State?? I agree, talented and well coached team. However, Fish hasn't addressed his biggest issues: rebounding, inside play, and most importantly offensive consistency outside of Tyler Hall.

They do have a top notch point guard and Hall. Their problem has been any kind of an inside game. offensively or defensively. They have added a bit there. Is it enough? Who really knows. IMO, their problems will be similar to last year.

IMO, the teams who have added the most, to improve on the deficiencies, have been Weber, Montana and Idaho State. everyone else is either treading water or losing ground. Portland State and Sac are total unknowns because of the number of JC transfer on their rosters and how that relates to what they had to do to improve on where they were at the end of last season.

I think picking Harding as a second team pick is about right. However, IMO, Brekkott Chapman will make a run at MVP and present everyone with matchup problems. UM has a couple of guys who may do the same thing.

UI is very, very good. However they are skating on thin ice. One injury to any starter and they are counting on a freshman to step up and be a man. No injuries and they will be solid. One injury and they are an also ran. Same thing can be said for Montana State. If they have an injury to one of their top 3 guys, they suddenly become a lower tier team.

On Paper, UM and WSU have the depth to withstand an injury or two.

I know that everyone likes to look at a teams star player and make an evaluation on that, but over all strength and depth will win out over the length of the season. Sometimes the best teams don't have the best individuals. Their strength comes from consistent depth and a culture for winning. :coffee:

UND won both BSC titles with same guys who finished 10-8 year before...Experience can help address issues. Harding 2nd team seems possible but generous. Chapman will be a let down if he does not put up first team all BSC type numbers.. Strings first team also quite generous.

I agree about the experience factor, with the exception of rebounding and, to an extent, defense. I also agree with you on the all conference picks. There are a ton of high talent guards in the league this year and probably 10 or more big men who will compete nicely for bragging rights. Strings and Harding are very good players, but may not be able to crack the post season accolades. If WSU or Sac ends up winning the league, then yes, their players will get preferential treatment. That is just how it goes. :coffee:

Blue Ribbon NCAA yearbook has Idaho first, MT.ST. 2nd and Weber 3rd.... Braxton is pegged as first team all BSC. and Chapman newcomer of the year....They Drop UND to ninth.

Blue Ribbon tidbits..Sac st. Katz not a lot of difference between top ten teams. UNC coach Linder Davis will be won of top point guards in the west if not the country and ASU transfer Spight is as good od scorer as there is in college basketball.. Rahe expects Weber to be very competitive in a very deep BSC more balanced team this season....overall the BSC looks deep and unforgiving this year

NBC sports stated that in 2015 Eastern won both the regular and tournament championship. That is why Montana hosted, right?

These national publications don't even make an effort to get current or correct information for their articles. No journalistic integrity. I trust what they are saying about like I trust anything coming out of Washington these days. :tothehand:

North Dakota has a killer BSC schedule....weber, id, mt. mt. st....much easier... Last year UND had a favorable BSC slate
