Linfield

Game on Saturday at L&C against Linfield. It is a counter for us, while for Linfield it is an exhibition. Here's hoping for no unnecessary injuries (like Farris against Portland Bible) and a good win. I really would not mind keeping Farris and Rumel out of this game. We should win this without them, and we will need them against Cal (and starting conference play).

@bigskyconf it looks like they've already been ruled out for Linfield (and they're certainly not needed to get the win), apparently Rumel's injury is fairly serious so I doubt he'll play against Cal. Hoping Faris will though as that should be a close one and we don't often have that good of an opportunity to get a win over a Pac-12 school.

Might we go four for four with Chalupas at the Pamplin Sports Center tomorrow?

"Indefinitely" is not a good word with Rumel's injury. I'd rather see Farris sit against Cal as well if it means he may make the conference opener.

I'd have to agree. While it would be nice to get another win over a Pac-12 school, we need to work at being at full speed for the conference games. We have quite the season in the works. After all the hard work to get here, I don't want to go back being middle of the road in conference this year.

But, can't look past Linfield. One game at a time. :thumb:

I couldn't make it out today, but caught some of the second half online.

Some thoughts:

- Chalupas again at home

- Too bad Canda couldn't get that last assist for the triple double. Nice game for him. He's 16th in steals in the nation by the way.

- Edwards seemed effective down low against a smaller defense. 7-9 from the field works, and with relatively low minutes.

- Looks like Derek Brown made his Viking debut today with six minutes off the bench. Was he going to redshirt since he had two years at Everett?

- Just another 21 steals. :-)

Well, on to Cal next week with our last non-conference game.
