It is free, but its restricted to Chrome, Firefox and Safari. He also recommended that you get and use adblocker, otherwise you will get constant popups.

I had to use it with my VPN, but I was able to watch the Montana, SUU and UNI with no trouble (unless my VPN lost its connection and had to reload).

The problem for me is that it asks for cable provider. I'm overseas and our cable provider does not offer any US channels. My wife wants to switch to a provider that has ESPN and other US channels, but we need to switch China Mobile Communications to China Telecom Communications.

Till then, FirstRow is my only option.

It should only ask cable provider of you select a game that's on ESPN, ESPN 2, or ESPN U. ESPN 3 is generally free online stream ... It's where I watch all my tennis opens not sure how different it is overseas.
