Who has been to the Lol-t ? Thoughts on the dump? Funny experiences there?
 
Lol-t for football is GREAT!! WSU might as well count that as a home game because they dominate ISU up there. As for basketball I was on the front row right under the basket when the fight broke out back in like 1993 ish. Hilarious their Coach Herb Williams had our point guard Mike Sivulich in a head lock. And everybody else on the court was punching somebody else. It was classic, I will never forget that game.
As for Lol-t in general, don't go into any of the dark corners by yourself as a Wildcat fan, bad things can happen.
Lol-t IS A DUMPY CRAP HOLE!!!
 
Lol-t is a good place for football during a blizzard in Pokey. It is good for kickers and punters not having to deal with wind and weather. The goal posts are weird as they are suspended from the roof with no post in the ground. The playing surface is terrible for rug burns and injuries. They really need a new type of artificial turf to replace the old AstroTurf.

So the place is a total dive and on top of that they still have the original turf from 1960? Yikes!!!

I've never seen a football game up there. I can imagine how it would be nice during the idaho winters to have games in it. But the baskeball games are beat! Ushers were using flashlights to look at ticket stubs because the only lights on in the whole place were right above the court.

Maybe ISU is going green and trying to conserve resources to reduce polution by not turning any lights on! Oh wait...having that dome period is a complete waste of utilites and must be a joke to maintain not to mention it is falling apart.

They'd tear that dump down if they were concerned with the environment...no?

I'm not sure they need an indoor facility, USU is 50 miles away and has no problem playing outside. They also would have the chance to improve the look of the campus by getting rid of that ugly warehouse aka airplane hanger aka football dome.
 
Lol-t is way better than your football stadium. I can GUARANTEE that recruits echo that sentiment. Lol-t is bad@$$ and that isn't gonna change no matter what you Utah (Go Utes) say. You all talk about the "cold Idaho winters, yada yada..." Ogden gets more snow than we do and it is the EXACT same temp almost everyday so quit acting like the Utah (Go Utes) that you are and recognize... Now Rexburg, ID is a whole different story. They leave the court dark for a purpose, it looks better like the old LA Forum and Madison Square Garden... Don't be jealous that we had a better crowd than you this week, I saw both games and that's a fact! BTW, you all got smoked in the fight in 93! Hilarious the beatings you all took!

u dont get it, we donte even care about football and we are a basketball school yet u dorks cant even beat us in football. ver sad. as for the temperature good point, we dont need a dome so why would u want to keep that dump of a Lol-t ? that is a laugh to say Lol-t helps in recruiting, it still has teh orignal turf from the 70s

ur football team beat us twice since the 70's good luck next year.
 
Ya idiot, the turf is the same... Actually the current turf was installed before the 2001 season, maybe you mixed us up with the Vandals, lame...
 
There is NO freaking way any recruit would rather play in Hell, I mean Lol-t, than Stewart Stadium. Tuffgong, you are smoking some good stuff bro.

I really can't imagine Lol-t being a great recruiting tool? As for Lol-t being better than Weber's Stewart stadium I don't think you really can compare them. WSU has the nicest press box in the conference and Stewart holds 5,000 more than Lol-t, infact Lol-t has the same capacity as the Dee Events Center.

And at the same time WSU has been struggling to fill either stadium for its games.

Weber has only had 9,000 or more fans at a basketball game 2 in the last 2 seasons. And only 8 times in the last 5 years. We haven't seen 11,000 at a game since the '90s.

For football we haven't seen 17,000+ at a game in 3 years. Does ISU fill the Lol-t for football? Their basketball attendance looks to be 2-3,000 per game.
 
ISU fans say we dwell on the past too much, but when it comes to ISU we are very consistent.

We are 21-2 against them in football in the last 23 years. It is safe to say they have beaten us maybe a half a dozen times since the 1970's, and we are rarely good at football. Our last conference title was in 1968. So one would assume Lol-t isn't helping them recruit, well maybe the dome is the only reason Merrill Hoge went there!

In basketball we are 64-40 overall against them. You gotta love the 39-9 at home.
 
I may be one of the few Weber Fans that have made the two hour drive to go and see footbal and basketball in the dump named H_O_L_T. I can say for football it is about the same as Shaw Stadium, the only difference in the roof. (Which by the way lets try to get the that yellow foam that is causing all of those poor folks up there some sort of weird Idaho Cancer). To say that it is a recruiting tool in a bit over the edge, does the line go like this, "WELCOME TO THE LARGEST TOILET BOWL IN AMERICA, WHERE YOU WILL BE CHEERED BY IMBREAD PIGS, AND GET HANDLED BY THE ENTIRE BIG SKY." As for basketball I was very impressed with the dump on Saturday. It looked packed, but they only had about 2-300 more people then the DEE had for the NAU game, which was the last weekend game at the DEE, they are are just more compact on those bleachers by the court. But the promotions department gave stuff away every time the ball was in the ref's hands. And it was decent stuff like t-shirts, pizza's and some kid won a year worth of hair cuts from suppercuts. HEY KIM THE ONLY THING THAT ISU YOU HANDLES WEBER AT IS PROMTIONS, THAT IS YOUR JOB, DO NOT GET HANDDELD BY THOSE SLACK JAWED HILLBILLIES. Overall Holet is at best the worst building that I have watched a football game, and a little bit better then average to watch a basketball game.
