Loss to USC

Anyone watch this one?

USC is really good. They move the ball around well and attack intelligently. We actually played pretty well, but just couldn't absord the amount of pressure they brought.

Giving up the PK was sort of the death knell; we fought through it but just got too far behind. Glad to see us knock in a goal.

The good news is that we've got another banner to hang. Also, we get almost everyone back. Mallory Taylor will be tough to replace, but Talley, Raniere, Chavez, Rennaker, Williams, et al give Eastern a big group of returning talent.

I didn't see us having much of a chance in this game but regardless, this year was definitely a barrier breaking season for the soccer team.

I watched the game and was proud of EWU's effort...they played hard against a verrry talented USC team. To score against a team that only gave up 8 goals all year and only losing by two is quite the accomplishment. Tough to see Williams wearing that huge knee brace and she sat last 15 minutes of the 1st half and played 63 minutes. The 1st 25 minutes she played well and help keep possesion on the offense third which helped EWU's defense. I believe she was hampered with that brace...hard luck there. 35-8 shots meant Taylor had a good day in goal for EWU...well done! Way to represent and look forward to next year..thanks Coach Bodnar.
