The Hornets (4-1) head to Texas to face ACU (2-3) and they have yet to win a D1 game. They have lost all their games by 20 points or more including a road loss to Rivertucky by 20. This is a "should win" road game for the Hornets.

ACU has a couple of guards (Wentz: 16.2 ppg & Hawkins: 12.0 ppg) who provide most of their scoring, but things fall off quite a bit after those 2.

Go Hornets!!!

We're certainly not playing like a 22 win team so far vs Abilene as we trail by 13 at the half, 33 to 20. We look like the same old road team of past seasons.

This a horrible game thus far. At the 5 minutes mark, we are still down by double digits. To be a conference championship contender, we need to win on the road. Especially against a low-tier D1 team. Very disappointed to say the least. :ohno:

Dylan Garrity has 1 assist and Mikh M. has only 12 points on 3/13 shooting, that's a bad combination for the Hornets on road. (or @ home for that matters)

We're not going to beat highly talented UC-Irvine with this same effort against ACU :(

Terrible game all around by Sac St. Very disappointing. Can't win shooting this bad ANYWHERE. We had shot the ball pretty well all year until this brick throwing match. I agree......can't lose to these types of teams at home or on the road.

Yep and with Montana taking Cal to 2OT in Berkeley, they need to figure out how to right the ship pretty quick...

Well I guess we are not the only team to lay a rotten egg occasionally. New Jersey Institute of Technology, ranked 293 by KenPom, beat #17 Michigan yesterday as well as Yale beating UConn. Not an excuse for the fart we left in Texas but it happens. Need to show up tonight against UCI.
