Tip off is this Friday. Game release is up and the game notes are up. Here are the starters:
G- Graves
G - Barlett
G - Demps
F/G - Hornsby
C - E Stuteville

No surprise with Demps, Hornsby, and Stuteville. Anyone surprised by Barlett and Graves?

ASU has some size with forwards Goodman (6'-6") and Jacobsen (6'-10"). Overall their roster looks experienced ( a lot of JRs and SRs) and their team was so-so last year. Should be a tough challenge for this Hornet team.

Best of luck Sac State against the Sun Devils of the big , bad Pacific 12 Conference.

Give it 100 percent and give them the best game u can.

Always good to see Sacramento State athletics on TV and a chance to make some noise.

Sac State Pride.

Stingers Up!!

Are you watching the game? I am watching in as they show snippets of the game on Pac 12 network on Dish.

I admit starting out that I never played or watch much BB but here are my observations.

We started off nervous and after about 6 minutes our guys started what looked to me like they were playing "faster" getting the ball out of their hands to other players and double teaming everytime an asu player gets the ball.

Graves reminds me of Steph Curry he is really fast and all over the court. I am being amazed by the young man Wu he looks like McKinney the way he plays- just 110% all the time.

ASU shooting i think pac 12 announcers said 35%

Our team is like you said, they are going to surprise some folks

I wish I could see it but I have to just listen and watch the stats.....these kids CAN play...they're outrebounding them by 8....keep it up Hornets!!!!

lets go HORNETS... getting the DUB on the road against a pac-12 squad is never easy...

they did it against OSU some years ago, no?

Sac has played outstanding at home... start winning in the other teams gym and you've really got something.

Wow! What an amazing start to the season! Expected some dropoff of this season with the roster changes, but.... wow. Would not have expected this. Go Sac!!!!!!!! :D

I have to admit that this win surprised me a bit, but I said earlier in the year that we wouldn't have as big a drop-off as people expected. These guys can play. Cody and Marcus had amazing nights. They continually picked up each other and the team. Eric came through with some HUGE blocks down the stretch, and Justin and Nick played great. This is a team that will make some noise in the BSC this year. Absolutely fabulous start to the year. Now go to Seattle and get some revenge for last years clunker of a game. I don't like to say this but I told you so....

This is what happens when you build a program. Kids that have come up together step up step in when seniors graduate.

Major props to Katz.

Watched the game start to finish, my goodness... We just beasted on a PAC-12 school. We were aggressive, yet under control and dominated the glass. If our guards play like this, the sky is the limit!!!

Pac 12 Network kept thegame on for the last 10 min. of the game. When the ASU player walked thru our guys huddling up and shoved Hornsby, the look on Demps face said it all. He went to beast mode and to me he elevated everyones play. Down the stretch Stuteville was all over shot blocking.

Watching EWU dominate Mississippi State right now...

Great win, the Pac 12 Killers strike again!

Congrats to the Hornets, Coach Katz and staff. I look forward to another great season! Those that picked the Hornets to finish 7th in the BSC have underestimated our players and coaches ability to retool after last year's graduations.

Yes you did. :notworthy:
Great win last night. The Hornets outplayed ASU in the first half, then dug deep and had a gutsy performance to finish in the clutch. Wow.

Oh so sweet.

Had to follow this one by LIVE stats. Was so sweet to see that F (Final) next to Sac State on the computer screen.

So many positives and a great way to start the 68 season of Sac State basketball.
