The Hornets (12-12, 7-9 BSC) hit the road for a Bracket Buster game to face a struggling UCSB (8-17, 4-10 BWC) team this weekend. This gives the Hornets a break from BSC action and the short trip down to the Central Coast should be a nice change of scenery for the players. UCSB is a young team which is most likely a major reason for their struggles this season as they are usually a top tier BW program. Statistically these teams are pretty even across the board but UCSB will be coming in off of an embarrassing loss to a terrible UCR team. Depending on which Hornet team shows up will dictate the outcome of this game but as of now this game will feature two under performing teams who no doubt wanted some better results earlier in the season.

In the grand scheme of things this game is meaningless, however it would be nice to see the Hornets right the ship and head into the final BSC games with a little momentum.

Go Hornets!!!

You guys must be thrilled that not only did the Hornets win at the Thundercrap, but UOP lost at Western Michigan. LOL.

Anyways, for the time being, ANY win over a Big West program not named UC Riverside is a great thing, indeed. Of course, when it comes to beating Big West teams, NOTHING beats a win over UC Davis....

Love seeing the W! However, wish we could have pulled off the close win against conference competition for once. But let's not spoil the mood. Great job Hornes!

51-50 Hornet win. Garrity feeds Veteto for the game winning layup in the closing seconds. Good to see this team win a close one on the road and get some momentum heading into the final 4 game stretch of the season. If the Hornets can scratch out 2 more wins this season (ISU and MSU are winnable games), the Hornets will finish the regular season with a winning season.
